Civilization Revolution WP.JPG
Revolution is a turn-based strategy game that has players collecting resources, building cities, trading goods, going to war and generally expanding their civilization. This puts educational focus on business skills and creativity, though Revolution is exceptional both in terms of people skills and classroom facts, as well.

Boom Blox shines brightest when played with others, competitively or otherwise. Players take turns knocking blocks down, and players will often need to be careful about what moves they make, as almost knocking a block down is really just setting up the next player to do it. Cooperative games require forethought as well; passing many of the more difficult levels requires players to coordinate their turns just so.

Lego Indiana Jones:  The Original Adventures' biggest strength is in problem solving. As the game is meant to be kept accessible to younger players, most of the game’s problems are relatively simple, and for the most part they remain logical and intuitive.

LostWinds offers a cooperative mode that allows a second player to use a second remote to aid the player in creating wind. This feature lends itself fantastically to children that need help or simply want to play with their parents – or vice versa!  The game has been received favorably since its release, receiving much praise for its innovative control style and visual charm.

Crisis Core has strengths in creativity and problem solving. The action-RPG mechanics are a unique twist on FFVII’s original style, and its production values are just through the roof, featuring probably the best movie sequences that can be seen in a PSP game. Players will be constantly adapting to various situations, rearranging equipment and tinkering with materia becomes necessary as the game progresses; players cannot simply leave things as they are without a sharp rise in difficulty.

Educationally, Rock Band’s biggest strength is people skills. Playing in a band with three other people is a unique experience, and Rock Band does several things to help emulate the experience.
